Lassonde ENgineering Society
WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2011 at the inception of the newly formed Lassonde School of Engineering, the Lassonde Engineering Society (or LES for short) is an established representative student body that has been growing rapidly , now representing over 1500+ undergraduate engineering students. The EngSoc currently runs the largest engineering competition in Canada, the York Engineering Competition as well as host and provide a wide range of initiatives from fun events to mentoring opportunities.
Being part of the EngSoc also gives members the opportunity to learn and develop their “soft skills”. The Society operates as a non-profit organization, giving our members a chance to learn about real world planning and business practices. We also offer members a variety of professional conferences they can attend to gain valuable connections, while learning more about the engineering profession.
We strive to offer something for every engineering student, no matter what your interests are. Our mission is to make sure that Lassonde Engineers are well rounded engineers and are ready to change the world!
